Green MLAs announce their critic roles and areas of focus

Fredericton – On Tuesday November 27th, the Green MLAs announced their critic roles and their priority policy areas.

Kevin Arseneau, MLA for Kent North will be an advocate on matters of Strengthening communities and cultures, and Democratic reform. This means he will be critic for government departments including: Aboriginal Affairs; Rural & Economic Development; Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries; Opportunities New Brunswick; Regional Development Corporation; Local Government; Tourism, Heritage and Culture; Transportation and Infrastructure; and Service New Brunswick, as well as on matters of the francophonie and democratic reform.

MEGAN
Megan Mitton, MLA for Memramcook-Tantramar will be an advocate on matters of Wellness, Education, and Creating resilient and inclusive communities. This means she will be critic for government departments including Early Childhood Development and Education; Post-Secondary Education; Health; Women’s Equality; Human Rights; and the Premier’s Council on Disabilities.

David Coon, Leader of the Green Party of New Brunswick and MLA for Fredericton South will be the advocate on matters of The energy transition, Sustainability and Social development. This means he will be critic for government departments including Energy and Resource Development; Environment; Finance; Justice and Attorney General; Public Safety; Social Development; NB Liquor; and Cannabis NB.
